The Sights
Kolding is the bordercity between Denmark and the former dutchies.
The city came into existence because of a ford and a castle was built for protection.
Even Kolding is a very old city, there is not much left from the old times, except the castle.
The castle stands today partly as a ruin, because of a fire in 1808. March the 29th some Spanish help-troops were feeling cold and because of a defect chimney a fire was caught. The castle has been restored in a fascinating way.
Museums
Many very interesting exhibitions, e.g. about the war between Denmark and Prussia 1848-50 and 1864.
