Line no. 19 has been established 3 times! The first line no. 19 began running in 1921, nearly at the same route as line no. 6 and line no. 8 did later. Already in 1927 the line was closed.

In 1933 the number was used again, but now for a bus line, the later line no. 29. The bus line was closed in May 1940 because of the 2nd World War, during which Denmark was occupied.

In December 1943, a new line no. 19 was established as an electric streetcar line. Like line no. 11 it should take a part of the passengers using line no. 5 and line no. 16.

There was a linenumber 19X too.

The streetcars had nearly the same route as the line 19, except they had a special stop just beside a railroad station.

The idea was to make it easier for people to come to the city.

The line was not a success and was only running from October 1952 to the end of January 1958.

The last day for the line to be a streetcar line was October the 31st 1964.
The nickname of the line was:
The Prairie Schooner because the line was passing a part of Copenhagen called the Prairie,.the only place, where a streetcar line was not mixed up with any other traffic.
