The 1st of January 1875 Denmark changed the monetary system from Rigsbankdaler
to the system used today. 1 Krone is equal to 100 Øre. At the same time
Denmark changed the security for the paper money from silver to gold.

Even on the smaller values the signatures on the paper money
were still written by hand. What a job to have!

On the reverse of the 10 Krone bank note is a picture of 10 pieces
of 1 Krone silvercoins.
