Bank Notes from Denmark 1997 - 2002

In 1997 Denmark a new series is issued, with much more security build into the bank notes. A new value - 200 Kroner - was the first issued bank note of the series.      The bank notes have all portraits of famous Danish people. On the reverse of the bank notes are pictures from different works by wood carvers found in Danish churches. The works are made shortly after the time of the vikings and because of the viking-ornaments at the Danish coins, the coins and the bank notes are fitting together. The last one of the new series - 100 Kroner bank note - was issued November the 23rd 1999.
