The 1st world war had made an increase of the cost of everything
and after the war the society was working on bringing back the
pre-war value of the currency. The postage for a letter before
the war 10 Øre and after the war 25 Øre.
In 1925 it became reduced to 20 Øre and a series of stamps with
the correct colors was issued.
Commerative Stamps
In 1924, November the 1st it was 300 years ago King Christian
the 4th formed the Danish Postal Services.
To celebrate this event a series of 3 values - 10, 15, and 20
Øre - were issued. The stamps were printed in the common 100 pieces
sheets, but combined so each block of four contains four different
stamps.
In 1926, 3 stamps were issued to celebrate, it was 75 years ago,
when the first Danish postage stamp was issued.
Air Mail Stamps
As in many other countries Denmark issued some airmail-stamps.
The first series came in 1925 and could only be used on mail,
which had to be airborne.
