In the middle of the 1920s, it was decided to let the ordinary
postage stamps be replaced by stamps showing an old ship instead
of the king. Only the high-values should still have the kings
portrait.
Until 1933 the Danish stamps were all printed on a private owned
printing house. Stamps, which were not in use anymore were overprinted.
To reduce the cost of making stamps for use in book of stamps,
small commercials were printed as a appendages in the same size
as the stamps.
Commerative Stamps
September the 26th 1930, king Christian the 10th became 60 years
old. A series of stamps with a new portrait of the king is issued.
The series has all the common values used at the Postal Services.
