Small adjustments of the postal rates were made in 1968 and a new 'high-value' stamp was issued.

In 1969 was some more adjustments of the postal rates, so 2 new 'high-value' stamp were issued.

Commerative Stamps

One of the old castles of Denmark is the castle at Kolding in Jutland. In 1968 it was 700 years old.

A stamp with two children from Greenland visiting the Round Tower is issued in Denmark and Greenland in 1968. The surplus was for helping the children in Greenland.

The 5 vikingships are a symbol of the nordic countries, Denmark, Finland (Suomi), Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The stamps was issued at the same time in all the 5 countries because of the 50 years jubilee for the Nordic Society.

The 11th of March 1969 king Frederik could celebrate his 70th birthday. It is obvious Denmark is having some problems about making stamps with quality and respect at this time of the century.

In June 1968 the Postal Services got a new printing machine. The machine could print in 3 different colors. There was a lot of trouble with the machine. The first 3 colored stamp using the steel engraving was a stamp celebrating the Danish flag - Dannebrog. The legend is saying it came from heaven at Estonia in 1219.

The first stamps with the new generation of the royal family were issued in 1969. The stamps have a surplus for the Danish Red Cross.
