  Scott 1952 - 1957

Besides my parents and sisters we had also a wonderful dog, who was taking care of the whole family and the house.

The dog was a very aristocratic Alsatian dog, which my parents bought in 1944.

Scott, which was his name, was very good for helping digging the garden, a behavour, which was good for him, when a little white lady-dog moved in next door.

Even he knew he wasn't allowed to dig a gallery under the hedge, he did it - he simply had to visit this lady.

In August 1957 Scott died. It was a very hard day the day I should say goodbye to the dog. That day I went to my unckle knowing when I got back home again, there would be no dog in the house.

Maybe it was because noone of my own age were living near my home my best playmate was my cousin. She was 13 month younger than me.

One day I got a blue bicycle, and one of my first trips was to go out to my uncle, aunt and cousin - a trip about 6 Kilometers.

The bicykle have brought me around in the nature and small villages, which in the 1950s still were around Copenhagen.

Today you have to go more than 50 Kilometers away from Copenhagen for maybe see small idyllically villages.
