The Sights

The eldest part of Copenhagen is Gammel Strand, which means The Old Beach. Gammel Strand is today a canal.

A new harbour was built the outside the old Copenhagen.

Today it is the very beautiful canal - Nyhavn - where you can find many small restaurants, which all have a lot of atmosphere.

10 minutes walk from Nyhavn you can find the Royal Palace, Amalienborg.

The Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II and her consort, Prince Henrik are living in one of the 4 mansions, the crownprince Frederik is living in the opposite one.
