The Sights

King Christian IV (1588 - 1648) built a little castle - Rosenborg, which was used as his summerresidence.

The castle was finished in 1633.

At that time it was a few miles outside Copenhagen, today it is near the middle of the city.

At Rosenborg you can see the regaliaes of the Danish kingdom.

The king made several buildings in Copenhagen. For astronomical use, is the Round Tower - Rundetårn.

Inside the tower is a spiral staircase, which is so wide, so it is possible to use a vehicle to get to the top. One of the Russians Tsars have been to the top using a horse-drawn carriage.

The tower is near the center of the city.
