In 1947 Denmark got a new king, and a new series of postage stamps,
with the portrait of the King Frederik IX, were made. The first
one had a value of 20 Øre and was issued in February 1948.
Two years later it was time for a minor adjustment of the postal
taxes.
Commerative Stamps
In 1949 it was 100 years ago, when Denmark got its constitution.
Two stamps were issued in 1951 to celebrate the 250 years anniversary
of the Danish Naval Academy.
For the Danish Red Cross a stamp was issued in 1951 with a surplus.
The ship on the stamp is "Jutlandia" sailing outside the Korean
coast.The Ship was a hospital ship, which helped over 5,000 people,
who were wounded during the Korean war.
