Commerative Stamps

A catastrophe took place in the Netherlands in 1953. Because of a hurricane many breach of the dikes took place. Together with many other European countries Denmark was raising funds to help the Dutch.

In 1952 a stamp was issued to celebrate it was 100 years ago the Danish lifeboat service was established.

After the second world war it was important to help the Danish living in the borderarea between Denmark and Germany.
