Århus - the capital of Jutland - got its first
electric streetcar line in July 1904, which was going from Dalgas
Avenue to Trøjborgvej. It was a private owned company and during
the years nothing much was done to improve the line.
A long the line were a few side-tracks, so the streetcars
could pass eachother.
In the year 1928 the city took over the steetcar company and
the streetcars began to be modernised.
The only line in Århus was enlarged in both ends and the
line got the linenumber 1.
