Line no. 3 was originated from the Enghave-line, which was established
in 1901.
Line no. 3 was one of the few lines, which have used double-decker
streetcars, which were in use until 1924.
In 1915 the line was extended and the double-decker streetcars
could not be used at the the new part, so people had to change streetcar.
Line no. 3 could not use the very last type of streetcars used
in Copenhagen because the line had some very sharp turns.
|
The last day for the line to be a streetcar line was April
the 27th 1968.
The nickname of the line was:
The Angel because of the white colors of the lanterns.
