Line no. 15 was a result of negotiations between the corporation, which was running line no. 14 and Gentofte parish council, which wanted a streetcar line.

The tracks was layed in 1908, and in the end of the year the line was running.

Before 1953 the line was using modern streetcars, but when the line was cutted in the northern part (1953) only elder or very used streetcars were used on the line.

The line was operated by the same companies as line no. 14, one in Copenhagen and one in Hellerup. When the streetcar reached the border between the 2 cities the personel changed.

Because it was running nearly the same route as line no. 6, which was using newer streetcars, people didn't use line no. 15. as much as the company wanted.

The last day for the line to be a streetcar line was October the 30th 1963.
The nickname of the line was:
Bulotti because the line was reaching places, where a notorious murder - Bulotti - and his gang had lived.
