Line no. 17 was not a new line, when it got the linenumber. It was one of the old lines of "Frederiksberg Sporveje" .

In 1919 the 2 streetcar companies, "De Kjøbenhavnske Sporveje" and "Frederiksberg Sporveje", were united in one company - "Københavns Sporveje", and this line became line no. 17.

All of time the line was running, it was trafficked by the double-decker cars used by the old company.

The last day for the line to be a streetcar line was June the 23rd 1931, where line no. 14 replaced the line.
