Like Copenhagen and Aarhus also the capital of Funen should have
a streetcar line.
A Swedish company - Allmänna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget,
ASEA - had successfully built several electric streetcar lines
in Sweden and the company wanted to enter the Danish market.
Odense could give ASEA the possibility.
In 1911 the company had built a streetcar line in Odense, which
should be the only city in Denmark, where the company built a
streetcar line. There were some plans of building a line in Aalborg
(Jutland) too, but they never came into existence.
