During the years the streetcar company only bought a very few new streetcars, and in 1939 the trams needed to be modernized.

When the short streetcar line - the Skibhus Line - was replaced by a trolly line in 1939, it was discussed if the remain streetcar line should be replaced too.

The occupation of Denmark in 1940 adjourned any decision till later.

After the 2nd world war the streetcars were in so bad condition, it was decided to close the streetcar line.

The last day of operation was June the 30th 1952.
