1921 Communication

The first airline company in Europe is Danish.

Det Danske Luftfartsselskab - DDL - is established 1920 with flyings to Warnemünde in Germany, later September the 15th 1920 also a route to London was established.

For his study in nuclear physics, professor Niels Bohr got the Nobel Prize in 1922.

The very first broadcasting in Denmark is private and is taking place October the 29th 1922 by Danish Radio Limited.

In 1924 the monetary convention between Denmark, Norway, and Sweden officially has ended.

From 1925 only the state must make broadcastings.

At Frederiksberg, a town just west of Copenhagen, is it forbidden to dance Charleston in 1926.

In July 1931 Norway acknowledges the occupation some Norwegians has done in the eastern parts of Greenland. The occupied part is called Eirik Raudes Land. Denmark don't want to go to war with Norway, but wants the International Court in Den Haag to made a descion about which country the eastern part of Greenland belongs to. In 1932 Norway is occupying more of Greenland. In 1933 the Internal Court says that the whole Greenland is Danish and Norway accepts.

All over the most of the world there was a financial crise. Countries were increasing the customs duties to defend themselves.

Until September 1931 every Dane could exchange their paper money to gold.

In 1933 is the largest land-based aeroplane in the world flying on the route Copenhagen-Berlin.

1938 Peace in our Time

In March 1938 Germany occupies Austria and Denmark is going to take a loan of 50,000,000 kroner about 10,000,000 $ (1938) to make the Danish defence better. September the 30th 1938 the english prime minister, Chamberlain told the whole world: "Peace in our Time" and Denmark is cancelling the loan.
