Line no. 11 was a child of wartimes.

Before Denmark got occupied by the Germans in 1940 the streetcar company was running 2 trolley-bus lines - line no. 12 and 23. The company was also running 4 gasolin driven bus lines - line nos. 11, 19, 21, and 22.The bus-lines 11 and 19 were closed May the 1st 1940, because of the lack of gas and rubber.

In April 1944, line no. 11 was established as an electric streetcar line to be a supplement to the streetcar lines no. 5 and no. 16.

After the occupation the need for the line was reduced.

The last day for the line to be a streetcar line was July the 27th 1958.

The nickname of the line was:
The Budgerigar
because the number of the line were blue and green.
